ClashTV, the interactive livestreaming digital platform, has just announced an exciting content development deal with Khristina Williams, a renowned women’s sports entrepreneur, founder of Girls Talk Sports TV, and a prominent media personality covering the WNBA and other sports. The partnership kicks off with the greenlighting of an original project that extends the popular “ClashTV Courtside” series to delve into the electrifying world of high school basketball.
Khristina Williams, named a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, brings her wealth of experience as a multimedia journalist, host, and digital creator to ClashTV. Her commitment to closing the gender gap in sports coverage and providing more visibility for women athletes aligns seamlessly with ClashTV’s mission to connect fans with the content and culture they are most passionate about.
Jonathan Anastas, CEO of ClashTV, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Khristina has a unique and valuable voice in the sports media landscape, and we are fortunate to expand our working relationship. We look forward to the ‘Courtside’ spin-off as well as the first look at her new creative ideas.”
The first project stemming from this collaboration will be a 2024 reimagined spin-off of “ClashTV Courtside” focusing on Clash’s entry into high school basketball streaming. Chris Williams, Executive Producer and Head of Basketball at ClashTV, will continue as co-creator and EP of the show.
“ClashTV Courtside,” initially launched as the company’s first original programming, garnered attention with its 30-minute weekly highlight, interview, and commentary show covering the best in street basketball and its surrounding culture. Khristina’s role as co-host evolved into executive producing and eventually taking over the production of the show mid-season.
Jonathan Anastas praised Khristina for her contributions to “ClashTV Courtside,” saying, “In not only co-hosting Courtside but taking on executive producing and actually producing the show, Khristina demonstrated her talent, expertise in sports, work ethic, and creative entrepreneurial spirit. She over-delivered everything we asked for.”
Khristina herself expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, “Marrying my two passions of sports and storytelling has been a dream come true. I couldn’t think of a better partner for this than ClashTV, who is creating a platform where athletes’ stories are being authentically told in new and innovative ways. I’m looking forward to this expanded partnership with ClashTV.” Khristina Williams, a New York City-based multimedia journalist, host, and digital creator, founded Girls Talk Sports TV in 2018.
