In a bold move to meet growing defense and aerospace demands, Assured Space Access Technologies, Inc. (Assured Space) today announced the opening of its Phased Array Center of Excellence (PACE) in Melbourne, Florida. The new state-of-the-art facility is set to fuel advanced manufacturing, research, and testing for mission-critical systems—creating over 200 high-tech jobs while supporting a $30 billion industry backlog.

Located in Florida’s high-tech corridor, the PACE Facility strengthens Assured Space’s role as a national leader in active electronically scanned array (AESA) technology, RF payloads, and secure 5G tactical communications. Its launch represents a significant commitment to the U.S. defense industrial base and the economic growth of the Space Coast.

“We are excited to bring this Center of Excellence to Melbourne, driving economic growth and advancing cutting-edge technologies,” said Sean McDaniel, President and CEO of Assured Space. “By creating jobs and collaborating with academic partners, we’re investing in the Space Coast’s future while delivering critical radar, RF payload, and 5G solutions to our defense and commercial customers.”

The PACE facility will be instrumental in delivering Assured Space’s proprietary CapLink Array™ systems, advanced sensors, and Zero-Trust (ZT) 5G architectures for land, air, sea, and space platforms. This development will also support the Department of Defense and commercial customers as they seek secure, reliable communications and radar systems to match global threats and emerging technology needs.

Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) hailed the announcement as a “major win” for both national security and the local economy.

“Assured Space Access Technologies is exactly the kind of forward-thinking, mission-driven company we’re proud to welcome to Florida’s Space Coast,” said Rep. Haridopolos. “Their investment in Melbourne will create over 200 high-paying jobs and advance cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies. I look forward to seeing Assured Space thrive right here in our district.”

Beyond job creation, Assured Space plans to build strong STEM partnerships with nearby colleges and universities, offering internships, research collaborations, and hands-on workforce training to prepare the next generation of aerospace and engineering leaders.

The Melbourne PACE facility is slated to begin operations in September, with full-scale production ramping up in the coming months.
