A New Chapter for H&M’s LA Expansion with a Star-Studded Ribbon Cutting

Los Angeles just got a little more stylish. H&M unveiled its brand-new flagship store at The Original Farmers Market — the iconic corner of 3rd and Fairfax — and kicked things off with an unforgettable grand opening celebration featuring none other than Paris Hilton.

Spanning 15,000 square feet across two sleek floors, the new flagship marks H&M’s first store of its kind in the U.S. market, delivering a curated, gallery-like shopping experience that feels both elevated and inspiring. Customers will find the brand’s full assortment of womenswear and menswear, plus access to exclusive collections like H&M Studio and designer collaborations.

Paris Hilton, dressed in H&M’s pre-fall arrivals — a lace blouse with a grommet-detailed mini skirt and bold accessories — lit up the purple carpet for the ribbon cutting. Holding a glittering oversized pair of scissors, Hilton embodied the energy of the day: fresh, glamorous, and very LA.

Inside, the store introduces a modern format designed for the fashion-forward. Think translucent display walls, fluted stucco finishes, and modular fixtures that allow H&M to showcase multiple style stories at once. This is more than shopping — it’s a curated fashion journey.

Michael Beaumont, Head of Expansion for H&M Americas, shared:

“H&M’s debut at The Original Farmers Market marks an exciting milestone in our Los Angeles expansion, serving as the first of several new store openings planned throughout the year. This flagship location introduces an elevated shopping experience — designed to complement H&M’s strong fashion assortment and create a more inspirational environment for customers.”

Tech Meets Style

Beyond the fashion, the store leverages smart retail systems like RFID technology for stock accuracy and mobile checkout for a seamless experience. Customers can also use in-store pickup for online orders — perfect for LA’s fast-paced lifestyle.

A Community Celebration

Opening day was nothing short of festive. The first 150 shoppers in line scored H&M gift cards ranging from $15 to $200, while loyalty members received limited-edition tote bags designed by LA artist Alec Egan. Local favorites joined the party too: Figure 8 Tea served strawberry matcha and mango oolong lattes, Wanderlust Creamery whipped up custom Honeycomb & Malt ice cream, and Levain Bakery handed out their signature cookies.

What’s Next

This new location is part of H&M’s larger LA expansion, which will continue with new stores at Beverly Center, Brea Mall, and — for the very first time — Beverly Hills at 370 North Beverly Drive. Next month, the brand will also debut a new flagship at BLVD in Las Vegas.

Since its founding in 1947, H&M has championed accessible fashion for all, and this latest chapter solidifies its place in the LA fashion scene. With The Original Farmers Market — a beloved city landmark since 1934 — as its backdrop, H&M’s new flagship is set to become both a shopping destination and a cultural hub.
