Television has spent years feeding our obsession with dream homes, house-flipping, and designer makeovers. But the massive, trillion-dollar industry that actually shapes our skylines, fills our storefronts, and keeps our communities moving forward? That’s been invisible—until now.
This October, A+E Network is turning the cameras toward the powerhouse sector of commercial real estate (CRE) with the debut of The Real Estate Commission. Premiering Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. ET, the eight-episode docuseries marks the first time a major network has pulled back the curtain on the high-stakes world where multimillion-dollar deals are made, empires are built, and communities either thrive—or fall behind.
The series is hosted by Todd J. Drowlette, Managing Director of TITAN Commercial Realty Group and one of the nation’s top commercial brokers. A self-made multimillionaire, Drowlette has closed more than 1,700 transactions totaling over $2 billion. He’s represented powerhouse brands like Starbucks, Dunkin’, Buffalo Wild Wings, and IHOP, giving him both the track record and the street credibility to take audiences into boardrooms and onto deal floors where the decisions that shape local economies are made.
“This show is like Shark Tank meets commercial real estate,” Drowlette says. “The deals are real, the stakes are high, and viewers will see how empires are built one deal at a time.”
And he’s not exaggerating. The series will follow transactions that span across New York, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina, shining a spotlight on markets like Philadelphia, Albany, Syracuse, and New York City. From negotiating office tower leases to helping retailers expand into new markets, viewers will watch real landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers hash out deals that impact everything from job growth to whether your local grocery store can keep its doors open.
For too long, CRE has been seen as something reserved for insiders in suits, but Drowlette makes the case that it’s everyone’s business. As he explains, commercial real estate touches our lives every single day. It’s the gas station you fill up at, the coffee shop you hit on your morning commute, the gym down the block, and the office space where companies decide whether to stay or go. And with lingering office vacancies post-COVID and interest rates at their highest in years, these deals carry more weight than ever.
The Real Estate Commission isn’t just about dollars and square footage—it’s about livelihoods. Every lease signed means construction jobs, service jobs, and small businesses gaining the chance to survive in a challenging economy.
Each week, A+E will air two back-to-back episodes, giving viewers a binge-worthy look at how the CRE world operates in real time. For audiences who’ve ever wondered how the places they shop, dine, and work come into being, this series is both a revelation and an education.
