This August, the glamour of Hollywood will meet the grandeur of African royalty in a two-day celebration unlike anything Southern California has ever seen. The Mysankofa Global Royalty Organization is set to present the Third Annual Coronation & Royal Essence Celebration — a dazzling blend of tradition, culture, and elegance that bridges continents and centuries.

At the heart of it all is Otumfuo Suaduhene His Royal Highness NANA Kwabena Bonsu Kanin III, a proud descendant of the Royal Kingdom of His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, Asantehene of Ghana. With his royal entourage, he will journey from the Kingdom of Ashanti to California, bringing with him the pageantry, history, and spiritual richness of his heritage.

But this is not only an Ashanti moment. The royal court will welcome houses of royalty from Cameroon, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Senegal, Chad, Mali, Ethiopia, and beyond — uniting African leaders, dignitaries, and cultural icons under one banner: to celebrate, uplift, and strengthen the bonds of African heritage across the diaspora.

The Celebration

Day 1 – August 9, 2025
Pasadena City Hall – 100 Garfield Ave, Pasadena, CA
From 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, guests will witness a red carpet arrival fit for kings and queens, followed by stage performances, live music, vibrant cultural dances, and the sacred Coronation Ceremony honoring iconic Black American excellence. This will be a moment where ancestral tradition meets modern recognition, a merging of African royalty and African American legacy.

Day 2 – August 10, 2025
The Federal NoHo – 5122 Tujunga Ave, North Hollywood, CA
From 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm, elegance takes center stage at the Royal Banquet. Guests will enjoy white-glove service, a three-course dinner, unlimited beverages, and entertainment ranging from live bands to cultural dance showcases. Every detail — from the curated menu to the free valet service — is designed to immerse attendees in regal splendor and Black excellence.

The Meaning Behind the Majesty

In African culture, the royal court stands as a symbol of wisdom, unity, and leadership. The coronation is more than ceremony — it is a living tribute to heritage, resilience, and the beauty of African traditions. This celebration is a full-circle gathering, where ancestral pride meets modern luxury, reminding us that heritage is not just history — it is alive, evolving, and worthy of celebration.

So, whether you come for the culture, the community, or the pure visual splendor, come adorned, come proud, and come ready to witness a history-making event that will leave a lasting imprint on your heart.
